First light

When I think about the people who shaped my life—the ones who made everything feel just a little bit softer, a little more meaningful—I think back to the moment we first met.

This painting is about that feeling when you meet someone and there’s an instant click, even though you’ve only just met, but you feel like you’ve known them for years.  A quiet click, a familiar spark. It’s about the beauty of meeting someone and instantly feeling at home in their presence. A soft, joyful reunion. A silent “Hey, how fun it is to meet again.”
